Why does AM sound better than FM? AM has a smaller mono sound which takes up a little less real estate in your head. The fact that it doesn't have that big bold FM sound means they actually have to play something interesting to get listeners to tune in. ...you wont hear no rap crap on AM ...or big cheesy song pollution. - just real good stuff worth hearing. - I drove to Ft. Cronkite by myself to film a live recording. At 6am, no-one came to watch except a coyote. I had my protools and a generator in my van, -and 3 Cybershot cameras(one was on the end of a stick) My friend Dave Shendel put it on his computer to mix the footage and tracks. Check it out!
